Starting
Out
The areas of darker green with no playing pieces represent the opposition's 'Home'. Players are not allowed to enter their own Home, and the principal of the game is to secure six pieces in your respective Home, before the opposition.
Moving
Pieces
The dice which you see in the top right hand corner indicate what colour piece should move and how many spaces. The dice in the example indicate that a red piece (ie. with the red triangle facing forward) should move five spaces and become a blue piece. Pieces may move in any direction - forwards, backwards or diagonally but may not re-occupy its original square or pass through any it has already passed through in that move. They continue moving in that direction until they encounter an obstruction, for example, the edge of the board, or another playing piece, and then they change direction until their move is complete. The red arrows and circled pieces illustrate a few of the possible moves and finishing positions the starting piece (circled in yellow) could make.
Taking
Out The Opposition
When, at the end of a move, two opposing pieces face one another with the same forward facing colour, the opponents piece is removed from the board.
Finishing The Game
Once a piece is Home, it is turned over and plays no further part in the game. The game ends when a player has all 6 pieces occupying its Home, as Player 2 has achieved in the example.
